Title : Net Zero Investment Portfolios
Abstract : Building a net-zero investment portfolio differs from building a low-carbon portfolio for several reasons. First, the decarbonization pathway must be endogenous. Second, one of the goals of a net-zero policy is to finance the transition to a low-carbon economy. Therefore, net-zero investments are not only a carbon footprint issue, but also a green footprint issue. In order to implement a net-zero policy, asset owners and managers must then incorporate new metrics such as self-decarbonization measures and green metrics, which complicates portfolio management. In this presentation, Thierry Roncalli will discuss the different portfolio construction methodologies, in particular the integrated approach and the core-satellite strategy, and their implications from an asset allocation perspective.
