In this joint seminar, we propose an exchange on research methods that inform European policy making in the area of financial regulation. An economist from the European Commission's Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services, and Capital Markets Union and two researchers from the European Commission's Joint Research Centre will share their experience on the analytical challenges involved; examples include corporate income tax transparency and monitoring financial stability. In addition, we will provide information about possibilities for young researchers to contribute directly to our work.
